Christmas with the Clydesdales

Christmas with the Clydesdales

Dashing through the snow
In a one horse open sleigh
O’er the fields we go
Laughing all the way

-Jingle Bells

Snow or no snow, nothing says Christmas like Buds & Suds! Wake the kids and neighbors, Christmas with the Clydesdales (If we were to be PC in today’s world, it would be Holidays with the Horses, but that’s not nearly as much fun now is it?) is coming to the South Point Thursday, December 20th at the Arena and Equestrian Center!

A unique photo opportunity with the world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales awaits you at the Priefert Pavilion from Noon until 6pm with complimentary FREE admission courtesy of the Budweiser Clydesdales, South Point, and Star Nursery, but it doesn’t stop there!

  • Free Budweiser
  • Free Hot Chocolate
  • Holiday Music Performed by Wes Winters
  • Santa Appearance (Unfortunately, there will be no elves, and we know that Herbie would have been a no-show because he’s a dentist!) HO! HO! HO!

A HORSE OF A DIFFERENT COLOR

Clydesdales are American icons that heralded a new era of prosperity for Anheuser-Busch, and a weary nation’s return to optimism. From their first appearance in 1933 to their enduring presence on the American landscape, the Clydesdales are more than the symbol of Budweiser beer; they are the living embodiment of America’s great industrial spirit.

Not just any Clydesdale can be a Budweiser Clydesdale. Clydesdales are part and parcel with the Budweiser brand. These iconic horses have starred in Super Bowl commercials and advertising campaigns for decades. Budweiser Clydesdales must satisfy these strict aesthetic standards:

  • 72 Inches Tall
  • Gelding 4 Years or Older
  • Between 1800 – 2300 Lbs.
  • White Blaze and Legs
  • Black Mane and Tail

A DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH

The South Point is strategically positioned just beyond the neon of the fabulous Las Vegas Strip. This 2,100-room property is but a stone’s throw away from the “monsters on the midway”, but make no mistake about this hotel and casino, it is a King Kong in its own right with amenities and offerings that rival any corporate or locally owned resort.

Since opening in February 2006, The South Point Arena has quickly become “Cowboy Central” as the unofficial official headquarters for the NFR. Easily recognized as the nicest indoor Equestrian Facility in Las Vegas, more and more promoters and event planners are also calling it home for non-equestrian events as well.

Once you go beyond the gaming tables and past the slot machines, it’s easy to understand why. Surrounded by the beautiful South Point Hotel, Casino, and Spa, the Arena is conveniently located near the 80,000 sq. ft. Exhibit Hall and just a short distance from 2,163 beautiful hotel rooms. With intimate permanent seating of 4,600 and ample FREE parking and staging areas, the South Point Arena is perfect for a variety of Las Vegas special events. This venue is multi-faceted and lends itself nicely for tradeshows, conventions, and conferences.

Upon entering the Arena, fans and attendees are immediately drawn to the Saturday Night Bar, which is the centerpiece of the Arena and overlooks all the action. This venue within the venue allows an array of options to showcase food and beverage and accommodate a VIP section, if need be. Opportunities abound at the South Point for your next function, and Las Vegas DMC Destination Fabulous will provide turnkey destination management services to insure your success.

As the month of December comes to a close, I, along with my staff, wish you and yours truly good tidings of great joy! Oh, what fun it is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh!

Have a very merry,

Belinda

p.s. No one (especially the band) follows a Clydesdale…just sayn’.
