Cirque du Soleil’s mystical, magical, and musical tribute to the Fab Four, premiered at The Mirage Hotel & Casino in 2008. It consists of a panorama of sound, light, color and, of course, The Beatles’ legendary music reimagined from the original master tapes from Abbey Road Studios. Sir George Martin and his son, Giles Martin, have created a soundscape of Beatles music that both envelopes and defines this whimsical and loving tribute to the world’s most famous and influential band.
In honor of the 10th anniversary of Cirque du Soleil, the production company introduced its first major production show on the Las Vegas Strip at the then-new Treasure Island Hotel and Casino. It has been in residence at the resort since its opening in 1993. The King of Pop is immortalized in this extraordinary show from Cirque du Soleil at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino on the Strip. Produced in cooperation with the Michael Jackson estate, the production evokes Jackson’s musical and creative genius as four “misfits” set out on a transformative adventure to discover the essence of Jackson’s brilliance as a performer, singer, and songwriter. By journey’s end, they will personify his agility, courage, playfulness, and love.
French for “The Dream,” Le Reve is a remarkable acrobatic water extravaganza at The Wynn Casino Resort on the Las Vegas Strip. It draws its inspiration from a famous Picasso painting. It was the first production to open at the resort and, while not official associated with Cirque du Soleil, it nonetheless features many similarities to Cirque shows as it was created by Cirque’s Franco Dragone. An intimate stage ensures that no member of the audience is more than 40 feet away from the action. The show is re-choreographed every six months and each performer must be scuba-certified.
