Five Years of Living Fabulously!

On September 29, 2014, Destination Fabulous held our first-ever event as a brand-new destination management company at the Encore in partnership with Next Level Events, and we haven’t stopped since! It’s hard to believe it’s been five years already, but it has been an absolutely incredible journey so far.

To celebrate our first five years, I decided to take a little walk down memory lane, digging into our archives for some of my favorite photos, memories, and events since we first launched. From hanging out with former Las Vegas mayor Oscar Goodman to meeting Elton, Cher, and Britney (…sort of!), this is a snapshot of five years of Destination Fabulous!

10 OF MY FAVORITE DESTINATION FABULOUS MOMENTS

IMEX America is America’s worldwide exhibition for incentive travel, meetings, and events. It is the CES of DMCs, and my biggest (and most important) annual conference. This photo of me and former Las Vegas mayor and man-about-town Oscar Goodman was taken at my first IMEX event for Destination Fabulous—complete with showgirls, naturally!

This photo was taken over Memorial Day weekend 2019 at the ALIBI Ultra Lounge inside the Aria. I’m pictured here with Sarah Bradley of Fusion Marketing, one of my absolute favorite customers!

The lovely lady with me in this photo is Katie Macrina from Venafi, another one of our wonderful customers. This was at a philanthropic event where Venafi gave away brand-new music instruments to underprivileged students who believed they were in competition for only one of them to win; there wasn’t a dry eye in the room that night!

This fun photo is from that same philanthropic event with Venafi, and features my wonderful daughter Maddie goofing off along with mom! She also got to be a judge in the competition, which absolutely thrilled her.

At an event at Red Rock Resort, comedian and entertainer Jeff Civillico was the general session speaker. I didn’t want to pass up the chance to snap a photo with him! He’s a wonderful entertainer and also just an all-around great guy; it’s always a pleasure to see him.

At an event with Regis Salons at LIGHT Nightclub in Mandalay Bay, we provided the talented—Elton, Britney, and Cher, oh my!

Here I am cheesing with the Spazmatics, a fabulous local ’80s cover band that is always a high-energy blast, along with my client Chris Kearns, director of travel and incentives for Regis Salons (second from the right). When it comes to all things ’80s, you might say I “Just Can’t Get Enough”!

Horsing around at the Grand Canyon, my absolute favorite thing to do in the world! Any time I have a chance to go there, I take it…which is one reason that I just love to put together Grand Canyon tour packages for my clients!

Okay, so this one isn’t from the last five years, but it’s still one of my favorites. This is my dad, Gene Maguire, at the Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas with a Sammy Davis Jr. impersonator about 10 years ago. (Wearing his standard sweater-and-khaki pants uniform!) My dad is the reason I started Destination Fabulous—his final words to me were, “You need to go start your business.” So I did. My dad is the inspiration for all of this, and he continues to inspire me in everything I do today.
