Spring Mountain Ranch
Spring Mountain Ranch State Park is located 15 miles west of Las Vegas, via Blue Diamond Rd., in the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. The many springs in these mountains provided water for Paiute Indians and later brought mountain men and early settlers to the area.
This 520 acre oasis was developed into a combination working ranch and luxurious retreat by a string of owners who have given the area a long and colorful history. Past owners of the ranch included Chester Lauck of the comedy team “Lum & Abner,” German actress Vera Krupp, and millionaire Howard Hughes.

The Neon Museum
Founded in 1996, the Neon Museum is dedicated to collecting, preserving, studying and exhibiting iconic Las Vegas signs for educational, historic, arts and cultural enrichment. The Neon Museum campus includes the outdoor exhibition space known as the Neon Boneyard, a visitors’ center housed inside the former La Concha Motel lobby and the Neon Boneyard North Gallery which houses additional rescued signs and is available for weddings, special events, photo shoots and educational programs. You may view the collection through either an hour-long guided tour, a self-guided tour or on a limited-access basis. Tours are available seven days a week and tour times vary based on the season.

Springs Preserve
Named “Best Place to Take Out-of-Town Guests” by the Las Vegas Review-Journal the Springs Preserve is the premier place in Las Vegas to explore the valley’s vibrant history through interactive science and nature exhibits, a botanical garden, hiking, trails, and live animal shows.Spring Preserve’s mission is to create a visitor experience that builds culture and community, inspires environmental stewardship and celebrates the history of the Las Vegas Valley.
Annual Las Vegas Events

Nascar
Las Vegas Motor Speedway, located 15 miles northeast of the Las Vegas Strip, is a 1,200-acre complex of multiple tracks for motorsports racing. The complex is owned by Speedway Motorsports, Inc., which is headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The 2018 NASCAR season will be an historic one for Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
LVMS’s spring NASCAR Weekend will run March 2-4, with a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race taking place on Friday, the NASCAR XFINITY Series’ Boyd Gaming 300 following on Saturday and the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series’ Pennzoil 400 anchoring the tripleheader on Sunday. The speedway’s fall weekend will be Sept. 14-16 and consist of a Friday NCWTS race, an XFINITY Series race on Saturday and a Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race on Sunday.

EDC
Electric Daisy Carnival, commonly known as EDC, is one of the biggest electronic dance music festivals in the world, with its flagship held annually here in Las Vegas. Popular electronic dance producers and DJs such as Armin van Buuren, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Yellow Claw, and Tiësto perform at the many locations held yearly for EDC. The festival incorporates various styles of dance music including trap, bounce, trance, techno, bass, house, hard-style, and more. More than 300,000 revelers head to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the festival, which features art, carnival rides, circus-style performances and all of the top EDM DJs.

NBA Summer League
The NBA Summer League is a series of off-season competitions during which National Basketball Association teams come together to try out different summer rosters instead of their regular season line-ups. The summer teams typically consist of a mix of rookies, second year players, and unsigned free agents. The current summer league consists of three separate leagues: the Las Vegas Summer League, the Utah Jazz Summer League, and the Orlando Pro Summer League.
The Las Vegas Summer League has become a place where NBA executives consummate deals, where superstars such as LeBron James stop by to watch the young guys, where free agents audition for jobs, and where the league celebrates in a relaxed atmosphere. Summer league has grown exponentially over the past decade, and for the first time in 2017 every game was nationally televised.

LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL
Life Is Beautiful is an annual music, culinary, art, and learning festival held in Downtown Las Vegas. Over the past five years, Downtown has undergone a major transformation thanks to the revitalization of the second most famous street in town – Fremont. Bars, restaurants, coffeehouses and stores have flooded into the area, capturing the soul and spirit of the new Las Vegas. During this movement, Life is Beautiful was born.
Life Is Beautiful is a company that creates and supports noteworthy programs, initiatives, and live events. The festival is spread over 18 city blocks, backing up to casinos and including the Fremont East bar district. Besides the music, attendees can enjoy a Culinary Village with food from some of the country’s top chefs, an Alchemy Garden with wines and beers, and inspirational speakers. A refreshing reprieve from our complicated lives and our complicated world, now more than 137,000 attendees converge in this cultural hub of the city to be a part of this beautiful social and cultural takeover.

PBR
Professional Bull Riding is a rough and grueling sport with roots embedded in American culture. It is America’s original extreme grueling sport. The PBR is a captivating and adrenaline-charged sport that features an amazing cast of the greatest bull riders and bucking bulls found anywhere in the world.
The PBR World Finals returns to Las Vegas for a five-day show, Nov. 2-6, showcasing the Top 35 bull riders in the world and the top bulls, all competing for their share of the $2.2 million total purse. One man will receive $250,000 as the PBR World Finals event winner, one bull will receive $50,000 as the World Champion Bull and one man will become a millionaire, receiving a $1 million bonus as the overall 2017 PBR World Champion.
For 2017, the PBR World Finals moves into the exciting new T-Mobile Arena, a 20,000-seat facility located behind the New York New York Hotel & Casino.

NFR
The National Finals Rodeo (known known popularly as the “Super Bowl of Rodeo”), organized by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA), is the premier championship rodeo event in the United States. The NFR showcases the talents of the PRCA’s top 15 money-winners in each event as they compete for the world title.
The NFR is held each year in the first full week of December, at the Thomas & Mack Center on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) and is aired live on CBS Sports Network. Cowboy Christmas, a cowboy gift show, is held concurrent with the rodeo at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The NFR is the final rodeo event of the PRCA season. World championship titles are awarded to the individuals who earn the most money in his or her event throughout the year: The World All-Around Rodeo Champion Cowboy title is awarded at the end of the NFR to the highest-earning cowboy who has regularly competed in more than one event during the year.
