VEGAS VALENTINE HONEY DO LIST

top las vegas show organiser

Valentine’s Day in Las Vegas is upon us, so let’s make this easy on husbands, wives, lovers or significant others everywhere by providing a little inspiration to set hearts a flutter on the most romantic day of the year by providing a Honey Do list of Las Vegas events and activities that will send your loved one into cardiac arrest leaving you to exclaim…WTF! (WOW THAT’S FABULOUS!)

Not all of us are Don Juan’s or Don Juanita’s, thus I am providing two music standards that encapsulate the true emotions of heartfelt passion in lyrical composition form that may articulate how you feel on the day where love abounds and is found… everywhere. The first, “Love Is in the Air” is a 1977 disco song sung by John Paul Young. You remember the lyrics:

Love is in the air
Everywhere I look around
Love is in the air
Every sight and every sound

And I don’t know if I’m being foolish
Don’t know if I’m being wise
But it’s something that I must believe in
And it’s there when I look in your eyes

Love is in the air
In the whisper of the trees
Love is in the air
In the thunder of the sea

And I don’t know if I’m just dreaming
Don’t know if I feel sane
But it’s something that I must believe in
And it’s there when you call out my name

(Chorus)
Love is in the air
Love is in the air
Oh oh oh
Oh oh oh

The second is the great trash-rock single title track of the J. Geils Band’s 1980 album “Love Stinks”:

You love her
But she loves him
And he loves somebody else
You just can’t win

And so it goes
Till the day you die
This thing they call love
It’s gonna make you cry

I’ve had the blues
The reds and the pinks
One thing for sure

(Love stinks)
Love stinks yeah yeah
(Love stinks)
Love stinks yeah yeah

Las Vegas is not the “City of Love”, but it is definitely a city for lovers. Romantic restaurants, sexy shows, luxurious hotel suites, wedding chapels on every corner abound here in the “Wedding Capital of the World.” If you can’t find love, you’re looking in all the wrong places.
Here’s a Vegas Valentine Honey Do List that will help you score points with your sweetheart, and make this year’s Valentine’s Day a memorable one.

It’s a steal. 300 Stewart Avenue, 702-229-2734.

PONDEROUS POWER METAL

Indulge me if you will to The J. Geils Band playing in refrain to fire breathing guitars with Peter Wolf’s vocals in the “yeah yeah” portion of the chorus snarling a heavy metal glee;

Two by two and side by side
Love’s gonna find you yes it is
You just can’t hide
You’ll hear it call

Your heart will fall
Then love will fly
It’s gonna soar
I don’t care for any Casanova thing
All I can say is

Love stinks
Love stinks yeah yeah
(Love stinks)
Love stinks yeah yeah

After reading or singing these infectious lyrics there’s no reason to host an “I Hate Valentine’s Day” dinner, smash piñatas, burn pictures or letters. Draw back your bow, and let your arrow go straight to your lover’s heart!

Happy Valentine’s Day,

Belinda
