Will U Be Mine?
With Valentine’s Day fast approaching, love is in the air everywhere, but I want to take this opportunity to tell you all how much I love and appreciate YOU. We truly love our clients—you are the ones that make all of the fun and fabulous things we do possible—and we want you to love what we do as much as we love doing it! And so I ask, will you be mine?…my client, that is!
I love Valentine’s Day because I love the celebration of love of all forms, and Las Vegas is such a special place to share it. Whether you’re single and looking or coupled up and content, the celebration of love is not just about the romantic love between partners—the love between gal-pals is just as important. So this week, get the girls and hit the Strip (and beyond!) for GALentine’s Day, and celebrate that most beautiful and pure love between friends!
The “most Instagrammable pop-up in America” is celebrating Galentine’s Day with 20 percent off tickets on Thursday, February 13. While you’re snapping group selfies in the 15,000 square feet of playful scenes built specifically with your social feeds in mind, they’ll also be throwing a Galentine’s Day celebration with a DJ spinning beats all night. Plus, the first 100 ladies to arrive between 5 and 9 p.m. will receive a complimentary glass of Belaire Rosé paired with a floral rose. Buy tickets at the door or online in advance using the code “GALENTINES.”
On official Galentine’s Day—Thursday, February 13—Chica, the modern Latin fusion restaurant inside the Venetian, is throwing a celebration for the girls with Latin-inspired bites from celebrity Latina chef Lorena Garcia, the first Latina chef on the Strip.
Get all your girlfriends together for an evening of shopping, dining, and imbibing on Thursday, February 13 at Tivoli Village. All women will receive one complimentary drink at each participating restaurant, including BRIO, the Hamptons, and PKWY Tavern. Select retailer locations are also offering special discounts, like 25 percent off lingerie and pajamas at d’annata and a $10 lash and red lip application at L Makeup. Over at Ada’s, ladies will receive their first glass of sparkling wine free, which will pair well with one of their heart-shaped pizzas.
They say three’s a crowd, but at the absolutely bonkers Absinthe at Caesars Palace, three or more is a party! Sure, you could spend Valentine’s Day with the one you love, but wouldn’t it be more fun as a group thing? From 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Friday, February 14, the Green Fairy Garden next to the Absinthe tent will have a live DJ, samplings of Freakshow Wines, multiple cash bars, and more. If you buy a 750 mL bottle of Mumm or Veuve champagne, you’ll get a free sampler box of chocolates from Vegas-born Ethel M Chocolates, which are also available for purchase for just $15 at each of the bars inside the Green Fairy Garden and the Spiegeltent. The best part is, access to the garden and the 35-foor Electric Oak is totally free, but do check out one of the performances of Absinthe at 8 and 10 p.m. while you’re there. Grab your girls, color-coordinate in green, and dance the night away under the glow of the Electric Oak, covered in 120,000 color-changing LED leaves!
Hands-down one of the most Instagrammable cafes in Las Vegas, the new Henderson location of the fabulously girly Café Lola is celebrating V-Day early with an interactive comedy show for singles and couples alike on Wednesday, February 12. Rally your squad for this 21+ comedy show from Jest Serendipity Comedy; each ticket comes with a glass of champagne and light bites from the European-style café and bakery.
Head to the Ethel M Chocolates production facility, retail shop, and tasting room in Henderson for their “Lights of Love,” a Valentine’s Day-themed lights display in their botanical cactus garden that’s just as much fun for a girls’ night out as it is for couples and families with kids. Book a chocolate and wine pairing tasting for your group or take advantage of their hot chocolate happy hour with discounts on the world’s most decadent hot chocolate.
It’s “no date, no problem” night at the bar and lounge inside Greene St. Kitchen at the Palms Casino Resort, where they’re hosting a mix-and-mingle singles event away from the snogging couples in the dining room. From 6-9 p.m., party with one of my faves, DJ Quira, while enjoying the $24 all-you-can-drink special and $5 “Handies.”
Have a Wine Night
Not that you ever NEED a reason to go out for a glass—or bottle, or two—of wine with the girls, but Galentine’s Day week is as good as any! There are loads of fun wine bars to check out all throughout Las Vegas. At the Local at the District at Green Valley Ranch, pop in Mondays through Wednesdays from 5 p.m. to close for 25 percent off all bottles of wine, plus happy hour Monday through Friday from 2-6 p.m. with $6 glasses of house wine. At Vegas Valley Winery, join in the pre-Valentine’s Day Pre-Dating Speed Dating mixer on February 13 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. and enjoy a complimentary glass of wine and light bites while chatting with other singles over ice breakers and with guidance from a professional dating coach. At La Cave, the excellent wine and food hideaway inside the Wynn, happy hour is offered daily from 2-5 p.m. with $8 glasses of select wines and deals on appetizers and small plates. In the booming Downtown Las Vegas Arts District, the recently opened Garagiste Wine Room is both a bottle shop and wine bar boasting an excellent selection of interesting wines from small-scale, biodynamic, sustainable, and organic wine makers. Join them for Sunday funday when all champagne and sparkling wine is half-off all day.
If you’ve got a squad of singles, then consider checking out a Valentine’s Day singles’ event like “Sparks in the Park” at Beer Park at Paris Las Vegas from noon to 4 p.m. on Friday, February 14. Singles can mix and mingle over happy hour drinks and play games like checkers and Candyland while overlooking the uber-romantic Bellagio fountains, followed by an anti-Valentine’s Day karaoke party from 7 to 11 p.m.
Make Your Commitment Formal Without the Paperwork
Plenty of people joke about marrying their best friends, but here in Las Vegas—the wedding capital of the world—you can actually do it, without all the legally binding paperwork! Plan a just-for-fun “pretend wedding” at the Little Vegas Chapel or a commitment ceremony conducted by Elvis at the Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel and invite all your other girlfriends to celebrate in the incomparable love that can only exist between besties.
